Coleman Cookies

This recipe for Coleman Cookies is so easy, and I usually have all of these ingredients on hand in my house. The recipe makes 16. I got this recipe from a cooking class I hosted at my home with Atherton Appliance's chef, Barbara Shenson. Barbara knows, that you will always find me at the dessert station at any one of her classes.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
1 ½ cups chocolate chips
1 14 ounce can of condensed milk
1 cup flour
1 cup walnuts
Parchment paper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line two 13” x 18” baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
Over a double boiler, melt butter, chocolate chips, and milk, stirring until it looks shiny and creamy. Do not overheat.
Remove mixture from stove and quickly fold in flour and walnuts. Scoop the dough onto the prepared sheets, two inches apart, and let rest 15 minutes in a cool place. Bake until tops are cracked, about 9 minutes. Cool before serving.
These are perfect for a baby shower because they're bite-sized, not messy and yummy!
They're also great to give to guests as favors. Package them up in little bags, velumn envelopes or Chinese food take out containers. Lots of baking goods stores have little boxes (that are flat, you have to assemble them) that make great cookie favor boxes.
