Cupcake Toppers for a Baby Shower

I was at the baking store the other day and they had these really cute (and overpriced) toppers for cupcakes. The toppers were just little paper figures attached to a toothpick that you can stick in the top of cupcakes. There were some wedding ones with bride and grooms, and some pirates ones for kids, and some other festive clown type of birthday ones. But none for a baby shower! I can't remember the name of the maker, and I'm not sure if they make any for baby showers or if they were just out.

I was thinking though, that it would be fairly easy to make them yourself. There are plenty of scrapbooking decal type things that could be easily glued onto a toothpick and inserted into a cupcake.

The cool thing about the toppers I saw, was that they came with matching cupcake papers. So like the pirate toppers came with black cupcake liners with a white skull and cross bones on it.

I'm sure using a solid colored cupcake paper that matched the cupcake topper would be just fine.
