Baby Shower Cupcake Wrappers

Baby shower cupcake wrappers or sleeves are what you wrap the outside of the liner with after it’s baked. What a difference they make! They create a real uniform, formal and streamlined result. You may have noticed that after baking cupcakes the papers tend to lose their vibrancy from the batter oils soaking into them. Sometimes after baking in liners with real cute patterns on them, you can't even make out the pattern!  It makes for a sort of sloppy presentation for displaying at a party.  Covering the papers with a sleeve give the dessert a "buttoned up" look, something that I'm always trying to achieve for my clients!

There are a wide variety available. Some are die cut, and some are imprinted with beautiful designs. What is cool about the die cut option, is using a different color sleeve against a paper liner background. For example, if the paper is white, and your die-cut wrapper is orange, the white will show through. This gives a great dimension.

What also looks really great is when you vary the colors of the sleeves if displaying on tiers or different display plates. You can color coordinate the frostings with the sleeves on alternating tiers of a stand, too. There are so many styles of sleeves available, some are even reversible.

Cupcake wrappers can be used to decorate other items at baby showers, such as glass votive holders, candy containers, or other desserts. Amazon carries a wide variety, I've shown some of the baby-ish styles above. Enjoy!
