Thanks for this list of quality diaper cake makers. I was in a boutique type store for kids recently and was shocked at how much they wanted for their diaper cakes. When I examined the diaper cake I saw cheap dollar store quality baby toys and low quality brand diapers inside it. If only I was that stupid! The list on this page of quality diaper cakes really helped me. Thank goodness there's really quality out there.

Halloween diaper cake

I really like the idea of the Halloween diaper cake you have featured here. It reminds me of when I had a baby near Halloween and my girlfriend got me the cutest infant Halloween pants from the GAP. I ended up having the baby in the early part of November, but I will always remember those pants and how I almost had a Halloween baby. Besides matching the diaper cake to the theme of the nursery, doing a seasonal theme is a great idea too. I would love to see Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day too, if not all of the holidays most celebrate.

There are such a lot of scary things about becoming a mother, and the great thing about diaper cakes is that they're such a fun way to introduce lots of essentials.

Although there are lots of cute and fun things you could buy as a mother-to-be there are also some relatively boring ones. I have discovered that one of the simplest ways to offer a pregnant lady as much of the essentials as possible is with a diaper cakes.

If you're new to the concept of cakes made from diapers then let me make clear exactly what these are. It is a cake which looks a little like a wedding cake, but it's made totally of goodies for parents and babies. The diapers are utilized to form the sides of each tier of the cake and inside there are a number of other items.

The top of most of these cakes will have a soft toy. This is a great way to keep the cake looking funky and amusing. The marginally more boring, but highly necessary items are sometimes put out of immediate sight on the inside of the tiers of the cake.

A great way to show the extremely cute shoes, socks and mitts are to have these attached plainly around the exterior of one, or all of the tiers. These will usually be held in place with ribbons.

A lot of diaper constructed cakes are made for both boys or girls, but if the dad and mom have chosen to keep the sex of their unborn infant a surprise then there are also impartial colored diaper cakes available. These are mostly yellows, greens, oranges and naturally white; so they look simply lovely and interesting as the pink and blue options.

There are instructions available on the internet as to the way to make your own diaper cakes, however, there are also some wonderful companies out there where you could choose all of the items contained and have your diaper cakes prepared expertly by someone else.

I have tried to make diaper cakes a few times, and I failed each time. First I tried to do the fanned version, like the diapers are in cascading fan formations. Failed. Then I tried to roll the diapers up really tight fastened with rubber bands. Failed. Take my advice and just buy a diaper cake. It's not worth the time and headache to make your own.
