Strawberry Dessert Recipes
Most strawberry dessert recipes are perfect for baby showers, starting with a shortcake! Yum.
If you're looking for no bake recipes for a baby shower, then you've come to the right page. Here we cover two options that will not require you to turn on the oven.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
These never seem to go out of style. There are so many ways to decorate them with contrasting dark and white chocolate. They look equally good lined up in uniform or piled up in clusters. My usual method for making these is slowly melting Nestle's semi sweet chocolate morsels in a sausepan over medium heat. Make sure to constantly stir it until it's completely melted and smooth. There's no need to add heavy cream, milk or water, just use the morsels only. I then dip the strawberries into the saucepan one by one, and let dry on a cutting board or sheet of wax paper placed on a flat surface. I also tilt the saucepan at a 45 degree angle to gather the chocolate on one side for easier and deeper dipping.
Strawberry Shortcake Dessert
This is one of the most easy to make recipes we know of. Here is what you need:
Pre-made pound cake or Angel Food Cake (often you can find pound cake in the frozen section by Sara Lee)
Fresh Strawberries
Sugar (you can use artificial sweetener instead)
Whipped Cream
I usually wash my fruit ahead of time, place them in a bowl, pour in some sugar (to taste) and stir. If you're watching the sugar, using Spenda or some other sugar substitute can be used.
Place a slice of cake on each guest's plate, top with the fruit mixture and then some whip cream.
How easy is that?
