Sugar Cookie Icing

Dress up your sugar cookies with this sugar cookie icing recipe.This recipe is from allrecipes.com, and uses almond extract. It's enough to frost a dozen little guys. Ingredients:
* 1 cup confectioners' sugar * 2 teaspoons milk * 2 teaspoons light corn syrup * 1/4 teaspoon almond extract * assorted food coloring
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, stir together confectioners' sugar and milk until smooth. Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy. If icing is too thick, add more corn syrup.
2. Divide into separate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired intensity. Dip cookies, or paint them with a brush. This one is also from allrecipes.com, but uses vanilla extract instead. The almond extract gives it a much sweeter taste, but for those vanilla lovers out there, we had to include this one too. Ingredients:

Directions:
1. In a small bowl, stir together confectioners' sugar and milk until smooth. Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy. If icing is too thick, add more corn syrup.
2. Divide into separate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired intensity. Dip cookies, or paint them with a brush. Depending on how eleborate of a design you'll be using, some decorating supplies, like Wilton decorating tips may come in handy. These tools are great if you're doing an outline, fine lines or any kind of writing with words. The level of detail is best obtained by using one of the fine tips. Have fun and enjoy!
